Genetic distance tree of 13 yeast strains. Tree was generated using the DNAdist and neighbor joining methods in the Phylip package on sequences of the 32 Kb interval on chromosome XIV. Strains are marked (-) if they are Htg^- and (+) if they are Htg⁺. The chromosome XIV interval from which the tree was generated was shown to segregate in crosses with S288c of YJM789 and YJM421.
